Raffle for a Hawaiian
Vacation is Fundraiser for Our Music Department’s Trip to Washington, DC
This year our music department students (band, chorus and orchestra) will travel to Washington DC on March 17 to 21, to perform in our nation’s capital. The trip will be highlighted by performances at noted sights, a cultural exchange with students of a DC middle school, tours of government buildings, monuments and museums.
We have made a pledge that every child who qualifies academically and behaviorally will get an opportunity to participate. We are very fortunate to be in a community that reaches out for the good of everyone. As part of our fundraising efforts, the music department is sponsoring a Raffle for a week for 2 in the fabulous state of Hawaii. The Raffle tickets are only $5 each. Why a raffle? Each kid is rewarded for their individual efforts. So it encourages each student to work for their trip. Likewise, almost 90% of the proceeds go directly back to the students. It’s also fun for the community to take a chance on a week in Hawaii with the reasonable cost as a donation.
