Washington DC Trip Contract
Orchestra is offered to 6th grade beginning string students, 6th grade intermediate string students, and all 7th and 8th grade students who have taken Orchestra for at least one year.
Ridgeview Honor Orchestra meets weekly after school and students are accepted into this Orchestra through audition. Each year the RMS Honor Orchestra participates in the GMEA Orchestra Festival and the Honor Orchestra has received consistent "Superior" ratings at this event.
Each student is also assigned to a string quartet during the course of the year. Most 7th and 8th grade Orchestra students participate annually in the American String Teachers Association Chamber Music Workshop in Carrollton, Georgia early in November. This is an overnight trip where students are coached by professional string quartet players. A Chamber Music Dessert Concert is presented each spring. Additional concerts include the annual fall concert, the winter holiday concert and the spring concert.

All- State audition applications are due by Sept. 10th
Fall Orchestra, Band ,Chorus Concert is October 10/21 at 7:00 p.m. at Riverwood High School
The ASTA, Chamber Music Workshop takes place in Athens, Ga. 11/14 and 11/15.
Winter Holiday Concert is Tuesday, 12/18 at Riverwood High School
