Volunteers during the Olympics
A great way to easily get some of your volunteer hours is to sign up for the upcoming Ridgeview Olympics!  It’s outdoors and you get to see your kids compete for the gold!  The dates are May 19, 20, and 21 and the times are 9:00am to 11am or 1:30 to 3:30pm.  All you need to do is check for bathroom passes and make sure the kids go through the right door to the restroom.  It’s that easy!!  You can sign up for one shift or several, but don’t wait, this is your last volunteer opportunity!

ING Marathon Sunday, March 21, 2010
The run is free to students who have returned a permission form to their Health or PE teacher.  Buses will be provided if students want to ride.  The goal is for students to walk and /or run at least twelve miles before the event and then walk and/or run the last 1.1 at the actual ING Marathon course near Centennial Olympic Park.  They would have then completed their personal 13.1 race.  Students earn incentives like wrist bands, t-shirts and other goodies along the way.  Students who can't go to the event but have already accumulated 13.1 miles will still receive their awards after.  Please see any of the coaches for more details and forms.  Parents, please contact one of the coaches if you are interested in volunteering on the date of the event.
